What are pram liners for?

Pram liners are designed to prevent wear and tear on the pram caused by dirt, spillages, and food waste. Pram liners are also an additional layer between the baby and the pram itself creating extra comfort, cushioning and padding for your little one.

Our 100% natural sheepskin pram liner is the perfect choice for your little one, not only will it protect your pram but the natural benefits of sheepskin will also protect your baby. Sheepskin is naturally antibacterial and resists the growth of mould, which means less cleaning for you!

Also, the thermal regulating and breathability properties of sheepskin means your little one will be kept comfortable in all weather conditions.

Do pram liners fit all prams?

Our 100% genuine sheepskin pram liner is universal and should fit most prams and buggies. Our sheepskin car seat liner is suitable for car seats in group 1 and group 2/3.

Are sheepskin pram liners good?

Due to the incredible properties of the 100% genuine sheepskin we source, our pram liners made out of this amazing material have many benefits. For example, sheepskin has natural thermoregulating properties, meaning it will help your little one stay warm and cosy in the winter and cool in the summer.

Sheepskin is hypoallergenic and contains lanolin, a natural substance found in all sheep’s wool, this helps to soothe and protect sensitive skin. Furthermore, sheepskin has natural antibacterial properties, meaning it is easy to naturally keep clean and will repel any odours. With all of these benefits in mind, we think our sheepskin pram liner is the perfect choice for your little one.

How do you clean a sheepskin pram liner?

This is one of our most asked questions since babies and toddlers tend to make a lot of mess! More often than not, our sheepskin pram liner will only need a good shake and a brush to have it looking good as new again.

Due to sheepskin being naturally antibacterial, you won’t need to wash it often at all. To keep on top of cleaning your sheepskin pram liner we recommend regular brushing and allowing it to air, this will keep away any unwanted odours and also will remove any dried stains if brushed out correctly using a proper brush designed for use on sheepskin.

Any particularly stubborn stains can be dabbed with a clean damp cloth, you can use a specialist wool shampoo as well if the stain is particularly stubborn, making sure to remove any residue. This is a much better option than washing the pram liner regularly. See our product care guide for more information on this.

Does sheepskin keep babies cool?

Due to the amazing thermoregulating properties of sheepskin, acting almost like mother nature’s thermostat, sheepskin is able to keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

This is due to the natural breathability of sheepskin and works by whisking away moisture from the skin, creating a barrier of dry air between your skin and the wool. Due to this natural breathability, the air is able to circulate through, so yes, our sheepskin pram liner can keep babies cool.

Are pram liners worth it?

Our pram liners are made using only the best, genuine 100% sheepskin creating quality and made to last product at an affordable price. Due to the natural durability of sheepskin and our impeccable manufacturing processes, this product is designed to last.

As a result of the self-cleaning and antibacterial properties of sheepskin, our pram liner only needs minimal maintenance to keep it looking brand new, so we know that when cared for properly, they will last a very long time.

Is it OK for a baby to sleep on a sheepskin?

Many parents wonder whether it’s safe for babies to sleep on sheepskin but we always recommend following the Lullaby Trust safe sleeping guidelines.

Are sheepskin liners safe for baby?

Our sheepskin pram liner is a great choice for your little one due to the natural health benefits of 100% sheepskin. We only source the best sheepskin which means you can be assured that only quality material is used to make our pram liner.

Our favourite benefits of genuine sheepskin include thermoregulation, antibacterial properties, hypoallergenic, the fact that they are easy to clean, natural resistance to dust and mould growth.

All of these natural benefits mean sheepskin is a great choice for your baby and what better way to use all of these advantages than in the form of a pram liner where your little one will be spending a substantial amount of time in.

How do you wash sheepskin?

In our experience, most of the time your sheepskin pram liner will not need to be washed, instead will simply need a good brush, shake and be aired out; this is because we only source and use the best quality sheepskin available.

However, if you would like to wash it then we recommend either sending it to the dry cleaners for a professional clean, hand washing or putting on a very gentle, preferably wool-approved, wash cycle no warmer than 30 degrees.

We personally always use a specialist sheepskin detergent which can be purchased in most supermarkets or online. It is very important NOT to use normal washing detergent as this will seriously damage the sheepskin causing it to become brittle and discoloured.

Once finished in the washing machine we recommend removing immediately and allowing it to air dry naturally, out of direct sunlight or heat.

Once dried, give the sheepskin liner a brush and it should look good as new. You can read more in our product care guide.

sheepskin hot in the summer

Is sheepskin hot in the summer?

We know that parents worry about their little ones overheating, but you need not worry! Sheepskin has natural thermoregulating properties meaning it has the ability to keep you cool in the summer.

This works due to the amazing breathable properties of sheepskin which allow air to circulate through the fibres. Sheepskin also has the ability to remove moisture from the skin creating a barrier or dry air between the skin and the material.

Because we only use the finest 100% genuine sheepskin, all of our products have this incredible ability to keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

Is sheepskin cooling?

100% sheepskin has thermoregulating properties, meaning it can warm us up and cool us down depending on the temperature of our skin.

When it is warm the sheepskin whisks away any moisture from the skin and omits this into the air very quickly, leaving a barrier of dry air between your skin and the material which in turn keeps you cool. Sheepskin is also very breathable meaning air can circulate through the fibres, therefore, creating a cool and dry environment.

Due to us only sourcing the finest quality 100% sheepskin for all of our products you can rest assured you will be reaping these incredible benefits.

This concludes our simplest ways to make the best of sheepskin pram liners. We hope you found this article useful.
