How To Wrap Christmas Presents from Jacobs & Dalton

You are here: Home Blog How To Wrap Christmas Presents from Jacobs & Dalton

The festive season is now upon us! And if you’re anything like us, the only thing left to do is wrap the gifts you’ve chosen for your loved ones. You’ve (hopefully!) got a gorgeous pile of Jacobs & Dalton gifts – slippers, boots, maybe even a cushion or rug – just waiting to be wrapped. While some are easy to present to the recipient as they are, some gifts are trickier to wrap. You’ll also want to make sure that they look just as good under the tree as they will unwrapped too!

We’ve put together a little guide to help you wrap your J&D gifts effortlessly, while also keeping them eco-friendly too.

Sheepskin Shoes, Slippers, and Boots

Our sheepskin slippers, boots and shoes come in sturdy boxes with a lovely branded canvas bag. Fortunately for you, this makes wrapping a breeze!

Classic Wrap: A rectangular box is the easiest of present shapes to wrap – even for the most unskilled of wrappers! Simply choose a rich, textured wrapping paper that matches the luxe feel of the footwear. You can add a wide satin ribbon tied in a bow for a more polished finish.

Rustic Charm: Wrap the box in brown paper and tie with twine or a plaid ribbon. For a little festive touch, attach a sprig of holly or a mini bauble.

Canvas Bag: For a more sustainable Christmas, skip the box and use the canvas bag as the wrapping itself. Tie the bag’s drawstring and attach a gift tag for a simple yet stylish look. The recipient can use the bag again and again, whether to store their slippers, boots or shoes, or to gift their own presents in future.

You can also select our gift box option at checkout to have your order arrived in a special box to take the pressure of wrapping off you!

Sheepskin Rugs

A sheepskin rug may seem a little more daunting to wrap, especially as ours are all naturally shaped! You can either wrap the large box that they arrive in, or you could remove it from the box, gently roll the rug up and secure it with a festive ribbon or a band of fabric tied in a bow. It can sit under the Christmas tree as it is, or for a better surprise, pop it inside a large gift bag.

Sheepskin Cushions

Sheepskin cushions again can be a tricky wrapping experience, not only because of their large size, but because of their squishy shape! You can either find plenty of wrapping paper and go traditional, or our favourite way is to source some gorgeous festive fabric and practice knot wrapping. It’s easier than it sounds, looks very fancy, and the fabric is reusable!

Baby Booties

We love seeing your friends and family receiving our sheepskin baby booties as gifts – they’re such a gorgeous treat at a special time of life, and often become treasured reminders that parents save for a lifetime. We’d suggest wrapping them carefully in pretty tissue paper and placing them inside a little box. Tie this up with a ribbon and add a cute tag, either festive or cute or both – a little Christmas tree, a teddy bear or a pink or blue tag depending on boy or girl!

Leather Jackets

Our leather jackets make such a stunning gift for a loved one – they are an item of clothing that will be treasured for a very long time. We send these to you in a premium box, so luckily, minimal effort to wrap it is required! The gift box is a sleek matte grey, so we’d suggest simply adding a velvet ribbon and a wax sealed gift tag for an extra special touch.

Hot Water Bottle Covers

This year, our sheepskin hot water bottle covers have made a popular gift choice, but the shape makes them a little trickier to wrap! Rather than picking up the gift wrap, we’d suggest getting a big gift bag and making your hot water bottle cover part of a larger gift. Add in a hot water bottle to go inside the cover – did you know hot water bottles have a lifespan and they expire after a little while? A brand new one will make sure that they can use their new cosy cover straight away! Pair this with a cute mug, a hot chocolate bomb and a pair of fluffy socks (or sheepskin slippers!) for the perfect cosy night in kit.

Pram Liners & Footmuffs

These pram liners make a gorgeous present for new parents during the chilly season, but footmuffs especially can be very bulky to wrap! Fortunately they fold down nicely, so find a nice big gift box or bag and cover it in tissue paper. You can also add a sprinkle of glitter or snowflakes to the bag for a festive surprise!

Eco-Friendly Wrapping Tips

At Jacobs & Dalton, we value sustainability highly, so why not incorporate these eco-friendly ideas this year?

Fabric Wrapping: Use reusable fabric wraps or scarves (we love to find these at charity shops!) for a dual-purpose gift.

Recycled Materials: Opt for recycled or brown kraft paper and decorate with natural elements like pinecones, dried orange slices or sprigs of holly and ivy.

Minimalist Style: Keep it simple with plain paper and string, letting the gift’s quality shine through.

With these tips, your Jacobs & Dalton gifts will look as stunning on the outside as they are on the inside. Happy wrapping and Merry Christmas!
